May 2010 – Sanford Brown Institute (SBI) has taken an additional 3,651 square feet at 421 Seventh Avenue to increase their overall square footage in the building to 38,388 square feet. In order to fulfill increased enrollment and accommodate the additional student population, SBI claimed half of the fifth floor to create more classroom space. Massaro Properties, LLC purchased the 51,000 square foot, six-story building in July of 2008 with SBI as an existing tenant.

After the initial purchase of the property, Massaro Properties, under its Total Building Solutions, acted as developer, architect and contractor to completely renovate the building for SBI’s use. Massaro was able to stage the renovations so SBI could remain in the building and continue teaching its healthcare programs, while Massaro carefully completed the extensive renovation. SBI signed a long-term lease with Massaro Properties LLC to remain in the building as a tenant.

Currently, Massaro Properties is offering build-to-suite opportunities for the remaining space at 421 Seventh Avenue. An additional 4,000 square feet is available on the fifth floor and 8,000 square feet on the sixth floor.
